BYU/Utah rivalry continues as fans prep for the big game

SALT LAKE CITY - It's rivalry weekend in the state. BYU and Utah football fans are getting ready for the big game on Saturday. Keeping with tradition, much of the state is divided by blue and red including co-workers, friends and even family members.
The week started with Swoop and the U cheerleaders catching Cougar fans off guard at the Lendio office in South Jordan and giving a Cougar a face-full of Utah pride.
But the Cougars had the last laugh when they mobbed together and took down a giant inflatable Ute.
"At the end of the day, it's all in good fun," said Brock Blake, the CEO of Lendio. "Just have fun with the rivalry week."
The KSL newsroom also enjoyed some fun with the rivalry by dressing up in their team's colors and jerseys.
And everyone is betting on their team to win the big game.
"Oh definitely BYU," said Kristine Pratt, producer. "Because they're awesome and it's BYU."
"No, I think it will be close, but I think Utah will win," said Josh Furlong, managing editor for KSL.com. "I think they play up to the game better."
Outside of the work place, even some households in Utah don't know quite what to do this week including Bountiful couple Casey and Becca Call.
Casey did what any loving husband would do - he bought BYU season tickets for himself, and his Ute-loving wife.
"I would never go to the other side, I can say that," Becca Call said.
This Bountiful house divided may have never been a house at all had they known when they met, what they know now.
"Of course at the time, I also didn't know how big of a Utah fan she was," Casey Call said.
Fortunately, they have learned to live together.
Like the rest of Utah on Rivalry Week, their house remains divided but still standing.
